Balls with prunes and rum
Blogging games are something I really miss, but the times are like that and we are simply overwhelmed by technology and a hectic lifestyle. I get the impression that the focus has moved from blogs to instagram, and there you look at the photo, squeeze your heart and pee on. Sometimes you read the text below the photo, leaf through the story … That Instagram is not something for me and I have already thought about closing my profile several times, but now I have found a new hobby, so I will stay for a while. It’s a game A joint meal in which everyone who wants to participate gets a choice of two recipes, and on Saturday they publish their works.
- 10 prunes (if they are very dry, pre-soak them in lukewarm water)
- 250 g ground biscuits (I put 150 g McVitie’s gluten-free digestive and 100 g Schar choco chips)
- 125 g ground toasted hazelnuts
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 2 tablespoons butter
- milk as needed (several tablespoons)
- rum (to taste)
Grind prunes in a multipractice. Add the biscuits, cocoa, hazelnuts, butter and rum and pulse briefly to combine. Gradually add the milk until the mixture becomes so compact that you can shape it. Make balls and, if desired, roll them in coconut, ground biscuits, ground hazelnuts, cocoa, chocolate crumbs … I got about 50 balls from this mixture. I rolled a third of the balls into ground biscuits (I separated 2 tablespoons from the above amount), a third into coconut, and a third I didn’t roll into anything. Place the balls in the refrigerator for an hour to harden and store in the refrigerator.
