What’s for dessert ?: Baked potatoes
Not even a game shared meal she failed to make a vegetarian out of me. I had to add bacon to the baked potatoes to get a complete meal. You can make this recipe as a standalone dish, and I believe the potatoes prepared this way are great as a side dish as well.
- 600 g of potatoes cut into thin slices
- 2 eggs
- 150 g feta cheese
- 100 g grated gouda
- 30 g parmesan
- 100 ml of cooking cream
- spices: salt, pepper, chives
- 50 g of bacon cut into strips
Cook the potatoes for 10-15 minutes in boiling salted water. Coat the baking dish with olive oil and arrange the potato slices in one layer. Beat eggs, add feta cheese, spices and cooking cream. Pour half of the mixture over the potatoes and add half of the grated gouda. Arrange the remaining potato slices and pour over the rest of the mixture. Sprinkle with gouda and parmesan and bake for 15 minutes in an oven preheated to 200°C. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with strips of bacon and return to the oven for about 10 minutes to bake everything nicely.
